Yorkstone paving costs £150 to £350 per square metre installed, depending on whether it is reclaimed, sawn, riven or setts. Materials alone run £60 to £160 per square metre. A 25m² patio therefore lands between £3,750 and £7,500 in reclaimed Yorkstone. Add 25 to 35 per cent for London and the South East, where labour rates are higher.
How much does a natural stone patio cost in Ireland?

What does stone cladding cost per square metre?
In the UK, £90 to £350 per square metre installed; in Ireland, €80 to €300. Manufactured or cast stone is the cheapest option, natural coursed stone the most expensive. The gap between supply and installed cost is wide because cladding is labour-intensive: fixing, pointing and cutting typically cost more than the stone itself.
Why is installed cost so much higher than the material cost?
Because laying stone is skilled work and the stone is only part of the job. An installed price includes excavation, sub-base, bedding mortar, cutting, laying, pointing and waste. On a patio the labour and sub-base commonly cost more than the paving. A quote that looks unusually low is normally missing part of that build-up rather than offering a better price on stone.
Are these prices supply only or supplied and fitted?
The installed column is supplied and fitted by a contractor, which is the figure most people need. Where a guide separated them, the supply column shows the stone on its own, before delivery, groundwork or labour. Fireplace figures are whole-project costs rather than per square metre.
How current are these figures?
